Introducing ClickFix
ClickFix for Adobe Audition is a click and pop filter plug-in, specifically designed for Adobe System's Adobe Audition through version 3.0, and Syntrillium's Cool Edit 2000 and Cool Edit Pro.
ClickFix is ideal for cleaning up vinyl LP recordings after digitizing them. ClickFix removes clicks and pops from 45s and 78s and can also remove static from AM and FM broadcasts.
Adobe Audition and Cool Edit Pro users: Why use ClickFix when Adobe Audition includes a Click/Pop Eliminator? Because ClickFix is fast -- typically more than ten times faster than the declicker included with Adobe Audition, and gives the same or superior results. Plus, it does this without adding unwanted audio artifacts.
Cool Edit 2000 users: Cool Edit 2000 lacks a built-in tool to remove clicks and pops. ClickFix fills that need perfectly.

I downloaded the trial, experimented for a short time and then purchased the program. Though ClickFix stumbled on a particularly difficult test I gave it, it surpassed my expectations on every other passage I tested it against and far exceeds the capabilities of any other program I've tried -- and I've been looking for some time. I also found it easy to use, with simple controls for the sonically-challenged like myself, while allowing me to use the great visual presentation and controls of Cool Edit. As I write this, I'm listening to a click/pop free version of a Taj Mahal album. Thanks for a great program!
